Docks and Boathouses Decking Options:
Sundeck – #1 Eased edge pressure treated pine wood decking, pressure treated to resist decay, fungus, and wood-boring insects, is the most affordable and most often used decking material. Pressure treated decking can be treated with wood oil once a year to add beauty and long term protection.
AZEK® Deck (PVC decking) – Is engineered to last beautifully. These elegant, on-trend products are protected with Alloy Armor Technology™, the latest in materials science innovation. So, unlike wood, AZEK decking materials resist scratches, stains, insects, moisture, mold, and mildew, and protection from cupping, cracking, and more with 30-year limited fade and stain and lifetime limited warranties.
Ipe Brazilian Hard Wood – The highest quality, wood decking material available today, is beautiful, strong and durable, and is naturally resistant to rot and decay. It has a dark brown walnut look but over time will fade to a gray tone. Wood oil can be used to protect the color of the wood if desired but is not necessary as a preservative. Ipe hard wood will outlast other decking material without any extra preservative treatment making it a very low maintenance decking.
Dock and Boathouse Roofing Options:
Architectural Shingles – typically have a minimum of 25 year warranties. They come in many colors and may be able to match the roof of your home.
Galvalume – aluminum zinc alloy coated sheet steel is our most requested roof covering. Offered in 22 beautiful colors, allows dock owners more creative choices. Galvalume’s high heat reflectivity makes it a cool choice for docks and boathouses while the 55% Al-Zn coating guarantees long-term performance.
Tile Roofing – provides long lasting beauty and a distinctive architectural appearance in several styles and natural colors.
Bulkhead, Seawall and Retaining Wall Options:
Wooden Walls – offer a natural looking long lasting solution. Built with 2.5 saltwater pressure treated lumber secured with stainless steel tie back rods into concrete deadman, with Geotec filter cloth. Designed to stop erosion, they are usually capped with .60 pressure treated 2” x 10” lumber secured with quick drive stainless steel screws. We use 9” or larger 2.5 saltwater pressure treated pilings on our wood walls.
ShoreGuard Vinyl Sheet Piling – Corrosion free, UV resistant, and impervious to marine worm activity. Offered in both corrugated and flat panel profiles.
ShoreGuard Corrugated Walls – Constructed with either Box or Z-profile panels. ShoreGuard corrugated panels have been successfully utilized over the past decade, protecting the nation’s most valuable assets.
Lavona FlatPanel– One of CMI’s latest innovations, this sheet piling profile is available in a variety of colors and serves as an attractive alternative to corrugated sheet piling. It can be used in numerous applications including seawalls, retaining walls, flood protection and water control.
